Winter 2018 Art Day

Kinetic Kids age 5 & up (& family) are invited to join us for painting, crafting, and some Winter/Christmas Festive Fun with your family! Children will create a variety of crafts to take home and/or give as gifts.

$10 per family. Must register each child to attend.

Nov 2018 Premier Swim

Appropriate for athletes ages 6-21 years old. Athletes must be independent and safe in the water as coaches are on the deck of pool and there is no volunteers. Swimmers should have the knowledge of different swim strokes and will work on perfecting those techniques throughout the year. Swimmers have the opportunity to compete in swim competitions throughout the year.

Nov 2018 XTREME Swim

Join Kinetic Kids for a morning of fun, rhythm, and music while playing drums!


Winter 2019 Ski Trips

Two ski trips are planned for Jan and Feb 2019. The ski trip is open to families who have participated in at least one program in 2018. Children 8 and older are most successful on this trip due to the endurance requirements and tolerance to cold climates. Adapted ski equipment is used including sit skis, walker skis, and other adaptive aids to make skiing fun and safe!

Fall 2018 XTREME Wheelchair Basketball

Appropriate for athletes ages 6-21 with a physical disability only. Athletes can be ambulatory or use assistive devices such as crutches, walkers, or a wheelchair but have the desire to compete in level higher than recreational programming. Sports chairs and all equipment is provided for practices and game play. Athletes should be able to independently propel themselves and be able to keep with the pace of practice. They should be able to follow directions in a group setting and understand the basic concepts of wheelchair basketball. Shooting, passing, and dribbling skills will be developed throughout the season.

March 2018 Competitive CrossFit

This is an advanced adaptive crossfit class for the serious competitors ages 11 and older! The class will focus on improving muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility in a typical class structure. This class is ONLY for athletes with special needs who can participate without one to one volunteer support & has ability to retain skill & safety awareness week to week. There will be in & out of town competitions and selection to these competitions is at the discretion of the Adapted crossfit coaches.

Xtreme Archery Clinic Nov 2018

Registration is closed

Clinic for athletes ages 6-21 with ANY PHYSICAL DISABILITY who are ambulatory or use assistive devices such as walkers, crutches or wheelchairs. All equipment and adaptive modifications, such as mouth tabs, are provided. Athletes will learn safety guidelines and techniques of adaptive archery and will get the chance to showcase their skills.

Kinetic Kids offers year-round, comprehensive group programs for children with physical and cognitive special needs.  The sports and recreation programs run in four seasons (Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall).

  • Kinetic Kids offers sports, art, music and educational programs.
  • Each season provides a different line-up of programs.
  • Most programs run once a week for 30 minutes to 1 hour for 6-8 weeks.
  • We also offer 1-day special events and clinics.
  • Programs are designed and facilitated under the guidance of physical and occupational therapists.

 

Kinectic Kids has customized divisions to best meet the needs of children with a wide variety of diagnoses in a group environment.  Divisions include Allstar, Champions, Parent and Me, and Competitive.
