HUGS Gymnastics 2018

Gymnasts will compete on bars, beam, vault and floor within the USGA guidelines. The HUGS team performs in 4 USAG compeititons and Kinetic Kids Special Olympics Gymnastics Invitational.


Premier Gymnastics 2018

Registration closes in 10 days

Gymnasts who have completed the Allstar gymnastics program or has been appropriately approved by the SA Premier gymnastics staff will explore gymnastics skills and routines on the bars, balance beam, vault and floor. The SA Premier team performs in 3 local and statewide Special Olympics competitions.

Sept 2018 Premier Swim

Registration closes in 10 days

Appropriate for athletes ages 6-21 years old. Athletes must be independent and safe in the water as coaches are on the deck of pool and there is no volunteers. Swimmers should have the knowledge of different swim strokes and will work on perfecting those techniques throughout the year. Swimmers have the opportunity to compete in swim competitions throughout the year.

Sept 2018 XTREME Swim

Registration closes in 10 days

Appropriate for athletes ages 6-21 years old. Athletes must be independent and safe in the water as coaches are on the deck of pool and there is no volunteers. Swimmers should have the knowledge of different swim strokes and will work on perfecting those techniques throughout the year. Swimmers have the opportunity to compete in swim competitions throughout the year.

Fall 2018 Soccer

Players learn FUNdamentals of soccer through skills and drills. Concludes with a scrimmage and awards.


Fall 2018 Golf

Golf teaches FUNdamental skills including grip, aim, stance and posture. Skills are showcased in a final performance.


Fall 2018 Musical Theatre

This creative class combines music, theater and dance and concludes with a performance.

Join Kinetic Kids for a morning of fun, rhythm, and music while playing drums!


Oct 2018 Competitive CrossFit

This is an advanced adaptive crossfit class for the serious competitors ages 11 and older! The class will focus on improving muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility in a typical class structure. This class is ONLY for athletes with special needs who can participate without one to one volunteer support & has ability to retain skill & safety awareness week to week. There will be in & out of town competitions and selection to these competitions is at the discretion of the Adapted crossfit coaches.

Xtreme Boccia Clinic Oct 2018

The Xtreme Sport division is the next level of coaching and programming for competitive athletes with only physical disabilities. Ages 6-21 years old.

Paralympic sport sampling day: Boccia is designed for more physically impaired athletes but can be played by anyone. It is a slower paced game that can still be made fun! The goal is to get your colored balls closest to the white target ball in order to score points. Clinic will consist of skills and drills followed by a fun game.

Xtreme Goalball Clinic Oct 2018

The Xtreme Sport division is the next level of coaching and programming for competitive athletes with only physical disabilities. Ages 6-21 years old.

Paralympic sport sampling day: Goalball is designed for the blind and visually impaired but can be played by anyone who can withstand being on all fours and laying out on the court. All athletes will be wearing blacked out eye-shades and provided elbow and knee pads. The game is played with a youth sized goalball with bells inside. Clinic will consist of skills and drills followed by a fun game.

Fall 2018 Karate

Participants learn basic forms, defense techniques and karate skills in a safe and controlled environment.


Fall 2018 Tennis

Players are taught FUNdamental tennis strokes and game play. Athletes must be able to hold their own racket and swing independently.


Fall 2018 Crossfit

This fitness class improves muscular strength, cardio-respiratory endurance, and flexibility for children able to walk alone and participate without one to one volunteer support.


Fall 2018 Baseball

Players learn FUNdamental skills through weekly practices & games. Concludes with party & awards.


Fall 2018 Swimming

Classes for those still learning to swim independently allow children to explore water in a safe, controlled environment & progress swimming skills.


Fall 2018 Dance

Dancers learn routines and must be able to walk with assistive device or independently. Recital & reception held at season’s end.

Wheelchair Dance: Dancers who use wheelchairs for most or all mobility learn fun routines. Recital and reception held at each season’s end.


Fall 2018 XTREME Wheelchair Basketball

Appropriate for athletes ages 6-21 with a physical disability only. Athletes can be ambulatory or use assistive devices such as crutches, walkers, or a wheelchair but have the desire to compete in level higher than recreational programming. Sports chairs and all equipment is provided for practices and game play. Athletes should be able to independently propel themselves and be able to keep with the pace of practice. They should be able to follow directions in a group setting and understand the basic concepts of wheelchair basketball. Shooting, passing, and dribbling skills will be developed throughout the season.

Summer 2018 Skate Exploration Day

Registration is closed

Participants will learn basics of skateboarding, including safety and exploring movement on skateboards in different positions. Must tolerate wearing a helmet and be able to follow instructions in a group.

Kinetic Kids offers year-round, comprehensive group programs for children with physical and cognitive special needs.  The sports and recreation programs run in four seasons (Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall).

  • Kinetic Kids offers sports, art, music and educational programs.
  • Each season provides a different line-up of programs.
  • Most programs run once a week for 30 minutes to 1 hour for 6-8 weeks.
  • We also offer 1-day special events and clinics.
  • Programs are designed and facilitated under the guidance of physical and occupational therapists.

 

Kinectic Kids has customized divisions to best meet the needs of children with a wide variety of diagnoses in a group environment.  Divisions include Allstar, Champions, Parent and Me, and Competitive.
